On friday night, The folks and I went to the 50’s diner. It’s the only food eating place within 40 miles or so, but it just happens to be right down the street. And boy, what a fine establishment!
Dad and I both ordered the King size doubler burger. As you know from my past posts, I’m not a big burger conneseur or anything, but let me tell u, that was a nice burger. All his meats were grown here on the big island, under the finest conditions, and man, U can just taste the pleasureful life that cow once had!
Dad’s burger had sauerkraut, which was a super nice trick. I choose bacon, because that’s something that I never eat. I wanted to make it a real special experience. And man, was it ever! It also came with the standard lettuce, tomato and onion.
As u can see in one of the photos, A previous customer must’ve ordered one of these burgers, because it sent him through the roof!
For desert, dad insisted that we share a magikal mud bie. Man, it was reallllly nice. A thick mousse-like ice cream topped with chocolates and stuff. Again, through the roof!
What a simply fineeee evening! Although I’m still not a big fan of the 50’s…
