STONE TABLETS (2025)
Green Quartzite
12’ L x 20’ W x 78” H ( 3.5 M x 6M x 2 M)
In this installation, three green quartzite forms rise from a bed of white stone like silent sentinels—earthbound yet reaching. Shaped by time, elemental force, and the artists hands, they are both carved and revealed, their striations, fractures, and the vertical marks inscribed in their surfaces offer a quiet story written over millennia.
The stones are composed not as symbols, but as moments—each holding its place within the rhythm of space, shadow, and breath. There is no hierarchy among them, only relationship: vertical and grounded, angular and resting, low and expansive.
Echoing Taoist principles, the stones embody the paradox of stillness in motion, form within emptiness. They do not speak, yet they offer presence; they do not move, yet they guide the eye and quiet the mind. In their balance of weight and grace, they ask nothing but invite everything—a returning to what is already known, yet cannot be named.
